Our Green Business Philosophy

bon Christiani^TM is proud to be among the green businesses making our planet a better place to live. Our green business philosophy is simple: to create the world's most outstanding and most desirable luxury dog collars and complimentary people accessories, in a manner that respects and enhances the lives of our customers, our business team, our artisans, our fellow creatures, our earth and ourselves. And, to have fun while doing so!

Our Dog Collar Recycling Program

Green businesses don't want their products to end up in a landfill. As part of our green business initiative, we encourage you to return your bon Christiani^TM collar to us for recycling when it has fulfilled its value for you. We will gladly reimburse you for your shipping expenses. We will clean the collar and sent on to our charity partner, Kindness Ranch (www.kindnessranch.org), for further use with their shelter dogs. When the collars have finally reached the end of their useful life, they will be returned to us for recycling. The buckles will be removed and donated to a local thrift shop for resale; the metal pieces will be returned to our artisans and melted for re-casting,  and clean gemstones will be removed and used for other projects.

Other Green Initiatives

 bon Christiani^TM is proud to be a responsible environmental steward. We source our products and services from a variety of other green businesses. Our dog collar material comes from one of the 100 most sustainable businesses on the planet and will outlast regular leather dog collars; our metals are recyclable; most of our bronze is already recycled; our boxes, tags, business cards and office paper are either hand-made from natural fiber or commercially sourced from recycled or certified sustainable sources and are fully biodegradable, and we source our products and labor as close to home as possible.
In addition, our artisans are all traditional American craftspeople to whom we pay fair wages for their talent and to be part of our team.
